SUMMARY Build, assemble, set-up, and disassemble entire custom machines and components based on work plans and blueprints within a team environment from start to finish. This is not your typical factory or assembly line job. It is fast-paced, full of variety, and challenges. HOURS 6:00 am - 2:30 pm M-F *Overtime likely ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -Assemble and setup machine components per work plans and blueprints using a variety of tools such as mechanics hand tools, drills, spot welders, calipers and others as required. -Work with team members to solve problems with fit and operation. -Disassemble components and ready them for shipment. -May be required to learn and operate drills, grinders, forklifts, overhead hoist and other equipment as needed. -Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED -Able to use and understand all precision measuring instruments. -Understands basic math concepts. -Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc. -Able to use a wide variety of tools. -Ability to follow oral and written instructions. -Strong mechanical aptitude WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD -Farm equipment operation and maintenance experience -Automotive repair and maintenance experience -Technical or trade school coursework -Mechanical aptitude -Manufacturing experience - forklift operation, overhead cranes/hoists, etc. -Blueprint reading experience -Troubleshooting capabilities -A positive attitude -Willingness and ability to travel -Availability to work overtime OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES -Supply own hand tools - a list will be provided later in the hiring process. -Ability to change assignments frequently. -Is consistently at work on time and ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. -Follows instruction, responds to management direction. -Takes responsibility for own actions. -Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals. -Completes tasks on time. -Quality focus -Offers suggestions and participates in continuous improvement activities. TRAVEL -This position does have the opportunity for overnight travel for customer service needs. 1-3 times per year typically. Usually 1 month's notice. Could be domestic or international travel (company-paid). COVID-19 protocols are in place and travel is only done when appropriate.
